Cheat Codes for GTA

This app collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no network requests.

The short version

01 Who this policy covers

This policy describes how the mobile application Cheat Codes for GTA (package identifier com.codesgta.app, shown on your device as “GTA Cheats”) handles information. It applies to the app on all platforms it is distributed on, including Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Throughout this document, “the app” means that application, and “we” means its independent developer, reachable at the address in section 10.

02 Information we collect

None. That is the whole answer, but because “we don’t collect data” is a claim people are right to be sceptical of, here is what that means concretely:

Data typeCollected?Detail
Name, email, accountNoThere is no sign-up or login anywhere in the app.
LocationNoNo location permission is requested or used.
Contacts, photos, filesNoNo access is requested to any of these.
Device identifiersNoNo advertising ID, IDFA, GAID or device fingerprint is read.
Usage & analyticsNoNo analytics SDK is present. Screen views and taps are not recorded.
Crash reportsNoNo crash-reporting service is integrated.
Advertising dataNoThe app contains no advertising of any kind.
Purchase historyNoThere are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

03 Data stored on your device

The app saves a small amount of information locally so it can remember your preferences between sessions. This is stored using your operating system’s standard app-preferences storage, inside the app’s own private sandbox. It is never transmitted anywhere, and it is not readable by other apps.

That is the complete list. There is no other on-device storage, no database of your activity, and no history of what you viewed.

04 Network access

The app makes no network requests at all. Every cheat code, every piece of game information and every font is bundled inside the application package at build time.

This is a deliberate design decision rather than a side effect: the app is intended to work on a plane, in a basement, or with the device in airplane mode. Because nothing is ever sent or received, there is no server that could log your IP address, no request headers to record, and no traffic to intercept.

05 Third-party services

The app integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, A/B-testing or crash-reporting services. No third party receives any information about you through this app.

Operating-system features

Two standard OS features are available, and both are only ever triggered by you:

App stores

Google Play and the Apple App Store collect their own data about downloads, installs and crashes under their own privacy policies, independently of this app. We may see anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install counts in the store consoles. We cannot identify individual users from these, and we receive nothing from within the app itself.

06 Children’s privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Since no data is collected from any user at all, no data can be collected from a child.

Please note that the app is a reference guide for video games that carry mature age ratings. It contains no gameplay, no violent imagery and no user-generated content, but parents should apply their own judgement about the underlying games it documents.

07 Your rights and choices

Privacy regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you, and to opt out of its sale.

Because we hold no personal data about you whatsoever, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, delete or sell. There is no database with your name in it, because there is no database.

Deleting your local data

The preferences described in section 3 are entirely under your control:

08 Security

The app holds no credentials, no payment details and no personal information, so there is nothing sensitive to breach. Local preferences are kept in the app’s private storage area, which your operating system isolates from other applications.

09 Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised “Last updated” date. Should a future version of the app ever introduce a feature that requires collecting data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried.

Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

10 Contact

Questions about this policy, or about privacy in the app, are welcome — including sceptical ones.
